Default Big up to Nokian Tyres!!

Changed to Nokian WR winter tyres mid Sep on my 99 Turbo. Have been very impressed. Really good all round on dry and wet. HUGE difference from my old Yokos. Been close to minus temps a few times so far in my woods(Scottish Highlands). No snow yet to fully test em. But they seem great so far, i did think i would sacrifice handling on dry. But so far its way better. Glad i got em, thanks to advice from this very forum

Have fitted Hankook I-cept W310 (205/50/16) to MY00 turbo. They are ok but there seems is a lot more woolyness in corners. Probably treadblocks moving around more.

Just fitted my Nokians yesterday, and they're getting better with a few miles on them.

Seem a bit noiser and in the wet last night were not as grippy as the Avons that I took off.
A short run today in the dry and they are setttling down, possibly just need scrubbing in.

Sorry to jump in on this thread, but I'm looking for some Nokian winter tyres too, think they're called WR G2's but having a job sourcing them.
Where did you folks get yours from?

cheers

James

Not sure, but this might help: Nokian tyre prices

The WRG2 are 100% the ones to go for.

Kind of answered my own question - see earlier post.

For Nokian tyres (WRG2) contact;
www.tyrexpress.com
or phone Ronnie Gibbons on 0844 8797880

Got a better price than Pneus, and my tyre size is in stock and due to be delivered next week. Website is nice and easy aswell, just put in tyre size and click on the winter tyre option.

I've gone for XL rated as side wall stronger and less likely to flex.

No I don't work for any tyre companies - just spent a few hours searching the net and calling around, and the above worked out as the best deal for me, so thought I'd share with you.
