I think the 'correct' tyre pressures would be in the Subaru handbook mate but everyone has their preferences.
Road or track use?
I'm at 32/31 with Goodyear F1's but mates I know run with 36

There is a plate giving the pressure in bar on one of the door frames (body side not door).
Mine is 2.3 front and 1.9bar rear, yours may be slightly different.

I'd have said 40 all round os way too high. The centre of the tyres will wear out far too fast and you will loose grip compared to lower pressures.

I used to have 35 profile tyres and had to run 38/34 purely as lower pressures meant the tyres rolled under the wheels. Now with 40 profiles on 34/32 is easily enough.
