Question

Can anyone recommend a uprated front pad to suit the STI7 UK Brembos?

I've just moved into the STI from a MY99 with Prodrive Alcons, so I am a little disapointed by the STI brakes and I am experiencing quite bit of fad.

I'm considering upgraded front pads, fitting a cylinder support bracket and braided hoses and uprating the brake fluid as the solutions to my problems. Any comments to my proposals??

TSL will be doing the Ferrodo DS2500 pad for them in the near future, was speaking to Graham about this about a fortnight ago.

The DS pads are very good indeed! Used them on the std 4 pots on my RB5

We have Pagid RS421 in stock, for the STi Brembo fronts and rears.

These are the only pads pads we will use in our own cars, on road or track.

Pete,

I've e-mailed you for a quote for my full brake related requirements. I look forward to your feedback, would love to get things sorted out pretty soon.

Has anyone else got any further good stuff to say about the Pagid RS421 pads Pete recommends?

Well so far... 2 votes for the Ferodo DS2500 & 1 vote for Pagid RS421. Anyone else got a view on this one?

My use is definitely fast road/track, but living in London I need things to work fairly well from cold(ish). Also, I'm not too keen on ******** discs as I went thro' the Prodrive Alcon pad hassle a few years back (incl. FOC new discs, alloys & lower body re-spray).

What would the gods from Prodrive recommend for me?

How much Pete?

Are they likely to **** the discs?

Mail me off-line if you prefer.
