Default strange noise driving me mad

hi everyone i have a problem i need help with.a couple of days ago my car started to make a strange rubbing noise coming from the drivers front wheel, its a 1999 rb5 102k miles on the clock, the noise only seems to apear when turning left when there is load on that wheel, i dont think its the brakes as i took them apart and coulnt see nothing plus the calipers are only a few months old got new ones from godspeed brakes. im now thinking wheel bearings but do they not make a noise all the time? mine seems fine when driving straight or turning right, hope someone could shed some light on this any help would be great as its driving me insane.

I have this same noise but doesn't sound like a typical wheel bearing noise.

I have just had exactly the same issue. As you say does not sound like a typical wheel bearing noise.
Only did it it on right turns/lock.

I thought it was the back plate catching.

But no as Ian says cured by replacing the wheel bearing. Now quiet.

could also be a jammed pad/seized caliper causing binding on turns......

well i got it sorted turned out to be the wheel bearing ,fella that replaced it said it fell to bits when he tried to remove it so it was a good job i replaced when i did,yet no normal noise that a worn wheel bearing would make so it would be well worth checking out if you have same sympons for all the price of a bearing.
