Bridgestone RE070 treadwear rating
Does anyone know the treadwear rating of the above tyres. It's usually stated on the tyre wall along with traction rating nd something else?
As an example....
Ultrac Sessantas are 280
Medium compound R888's are 100
Does this give an indication of how soft or hard the rubber compound is?

Think its 140. This is a wear rating against a "standard" tyre, and is a bit hit and miss in relation to normal wear and "softness". Most UK road tyres are 280-320. In the US I've seen 400 plus, these are dodgy in the wet but they last forever!
FWIW medium A048s are 60, SG (soft) 888s aren't marked. Some "cup" tyres are 20.
