Default Abs pump question

Hi all on my project build iv used an my97 cat shell and transfered most of the bits from an my94 car over to the shell. The my97 has or had abs all the abs system is still in place ie the pump, brake lines etc, as the my94 didn`t have abs i have not got the electrical gubbins for the system, can i run the car with the pump still in place without working?.
If not how do i go about removing it please.

Many thanks

Ian

Hi'
When an ABS sytem fails (or the fuse or the wiring is disconnected), the brakes operate as normal i.e. without the ABS assistance.

So you should be able to install your brakes with out a problem.

Alot of people who take part in rally-X or gravel races disable their ABS by pulling the fuse, then refitting it for tarmac driving.

Test it carefully i.e. not near edge of a cliff or where there's owt to crash into just in case im wrong. But in principle it should work fine.
