can anyone help on these brembos from a 53 plate sti there is a black circular peice of metal on a bracket that i havent seen on brake calipers before and was wondering what is does and do i need it as i am fitting these to a classic ??

its to do with noise and vubration suppression, no its not required........

They are a harmonic ballancer , just leave them off when fitting them to your classic
