wheel nut stuck

Default wheel nut stuck

hi, can anybody suggest a method of removing jammed wheel nuts. tried everything apart from drilling it out. its a female type nut with internal hex.
need to get it off as powder coater waiting for my wheels. sods law the last nut on the last wheel gets stuck. any help/ideas appreciated.

They can often be removed by hammering a socket over it. It knackers the socket, but hey..........

Do the other 4 up and try again by hammering a socket over as stated above, you may get lucky.

There is also the weld a nut on method........

Tried the 2 people and a wall approach? Socket spanner or breaker bar with the shortest extension you can get away with. Mate pushes feet onto the head of the spanner/bar and braces against the wall?

my wheel nut key slots inside the wheel nut, tried hammering sligthly larger key in but it still spins. had new tires fitted recently and think they used a windy gun which has rounded the inside.

Take it to wherever put the tyres on and ask them to remove the nut?

Got to Halfrauds or the like, buy a wheel nut remover. Basically it is a socket with a left hand thread inside that tightens onto the wheel nut as you apply force to undo the wheel nut.
