Exclamation

My replacement Tarox G88 discs have rusted in the small circular region around the centre of the disc. (This region is between the main axis of the disc and the main contact area of the disc/pad)
The OEM discs did not rust at this region.
Has anyone tried cleaning / gently rubbing discs?

Can't say everyone will agree though I have used WD40 on that area & thoroughly wiped it afterwards, avoiding overspray on to discs/pads themselves.

They have stayed as brand new!! I do this after I have blasted with a Karcher, usually apllying once a month. I have used fine emery cloth & wire wool to clean rust off too.

though make sure you wear gloves as it gets messy & is much easier with the wheel off!!!

Knowlesy,

Was it you I met at Scoobysport two weeks ago?

I remember a similar discussion.

(Tried it and it has worked)
