I have some subaru 4-pots with a bracket on the caliper to mount onto the strut to make up for the 335*32 rotors. The bolts I received are too big in diameter to mount on the strut. How do I fit them?

My scooby is MY95.

Rayman,

Having just fitted the same kit to my MY01 i can probably help, however give Ian Godney a call as he's very helpfull.

The supplied bracket is bolted to the caliper first and then bolted to the hub. The issue that you have, is that the bolts you have been supplied by Ian, are designed to screw into a 14 mm hole (ie it needs a thread !) You need to tap out the holes in the hub with a M14x2 (the x2 is the thread pitch and it's very important you get that right) tap.

If you've never used a tap before i'd suggest that you either get someone to do it for you or practice ! If you screw it up fitting the bracket will be a tad tricky, however don't fear you can always go back to the old set up.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions.

Andy
