1. Your likely to get fluid everywhere anyway.
2. If they are seized they won't come out.

They send them to me

If they are stuck you either need compressed air , or if they are really stuck they need to be pumped out with brake fluid , this way produces more pressure , I have made up a pump out of a rally car hydraulic handbrake which will move any stuck piston , I have pieces of steel plate which I fit inbetween the pistons where the disc would fit , this stops a piston popping out all the way , I can do it so all pistons will come out just enough not to pop out , you could do this on the car , then clamp the pipe and remove the caliper , strip it in half and then pull the pistons out.

If your stuck ring me tomorrow on 01656 723060 and I can run through it with you

Cheers Ian

oic ian you are the expert here ive not taken anything out yet, i'm not 100% if its siezed at all. by the look of the disc its seems the pads are not pressing on the disc making the disc enough ...very rusty compared to the other side disc. From your experience, for 2pots, is it more likely i just need to remove piston (by pumping) and replace the seals? its only did 60k and new pad last year hardly worn. 52plate.

If i were to ask you to sell me one caliper refurbed with stainless steel pistons exchange basis, how much will it be?

cheers

very rarely do we see rear 2pots seized - more commonly the pads seized/jammed in the caliper..........
