Default Rear brakes rubbing whilst cornering - HELP!

Car: 1997 WRX STi import.
Brakes: Rear, single pot calipers

Morning all!

I fitted new rear discs and pads last weekend to get car through its MOT, which it passed.

However, every time I corner right, (say round a roundabout) the rear brakes appear to be rubbing.

The discs that came off were only shiny round the centre third of the braking surface and the friction material in the pad has an almost curved shape worn into them. Put the pads together, and they don't meet in the middle at the bottom.

Any ideas on what's causing this as it is now causing me no end of grief??

Could the caliper be misaligned? The piston doesn't appear to be seized.

Any help much appreciated!!

Cheers
