Track tyre options??
Will be putting my car mainly on the track so will be running a set of NON road legal track tyres.
What are the other option rather than R888's? (and yes i know R888's are road legal)
Is there also other road legal slicks available?

I use Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tyres. Been using them for 2 years and don't have a bad word to say about them
they are inexpensive, super sticky and road legal. They don't last very long but thats pretty normal for track tyres

As above, if you don't need to drive on the road and REALLY want slicks for track days then a set of ebay is your best bet.
Do you really want / need slicks though? You start wearing out your car really quickly when running with slicks, you need a cage to be let on track and they're much harder to drive at the limit, no where near as forgiving. Generally the more grip you have the quicker it will let go.
If you want a more forgiving road legal semi slick here is an interest write up between the various brands:

@B0x: I don't know of any tracks that require a cage for regular track days?
I've done trackdays at Knockhill and Brands Hatch, neither of whom required me to have a cage fitted
agree on the slicks-verses-wear thing. Slicks will put more stress on other components as cornering forces rise with the increased grip. Plus, unless you're trailering the car to the track you have to transport the extra wheels, fit them track side, swap them back when you're finished etc...
