Classic - 17" fitments plus lowering
On a '94 Wagon WRX would 17x7 and 17x7.5 alloys with 215x40x17 tyres go straight on with no catching of the arches or other parts?
What is the recommended offset for 17x7 and 17x7.5 alloys?
Would they be ok clearance wise with lowering springs (Eibach, Tein S etc) fitted?

Depends on the offset if they catch/rub. Mine are off a 2004 WRX and don't do either.
Someone will be along to tell you exactly what ET to buy.
I'm now running coilies and kept the ride height as standard, as I'm more interested in making the car handle and grip than look like a pimp-mobile

Thanks.
Not necessarily going to change the springs, might do the ARB bushes as that should tighten any handling up (its got STI drop links fitted apparently, assume this is good!).
Iv'e seen a few 17x7 advertised for the classic as ET45 (Inovit Tarmac, http://www.potn.co.uk/inovit-tarmac-...y_p1021903.htm)

Solid drop links? Yeah, good. Also think about better bushes, and a 22mm rear arb. Mine is adjustable and set on medium. Don't mess with the front arb, it does a good job.
Lowering the car actually alters the roll centre leading to instability, actually MORE body roll.
