Hi

Some time in the nearish future I shall need some new front pads as advised at my 50k service before Christmas. Whilst I enjoy some spirited driving, as you can see, I don't use my brakes that much these being my first replacement.

Local dealer has quoted somewhere around £200 for standard pads plus fitting. After I picked myself up, I was advised there was a cheaper alternative at around £125 which, to my mind, still seem expensive - I guess it's the Brembo factor kicking in. Does anyone have any experience of these?

Whilst I don't want to scrimp on pads, does anyone have any alternative sources for the standard pads or alternative suggestions especially those that don't create too much dust - I like the sound of the EBC Red Stuff ceramic based pads but don't think they do a fitment for my car?

Have a read on the Performance Friction pads.

I changed to them on my Hawk and found them very good for every day driving as well *** more spirited driving

Performance Friction may not be right for you if you are looking for OEM type pads or slightly better.

I wouldn't recommend EBC Redstuffs.
