Default changing classic wheels to 17's

am changing wheels to 17's on my classic sti, was wondering what size tyres to get......215 40 17? 205 40 17? or 205 45 17? and also any recommendations on tyres

I've just changed the wheels on my Classic to 17's and I'm running 215/40's on there

that gives a -1.2% difference over the standard 205/50/16's so near as damn it the same

as for which tyres, that's a massive can of worms

Poteza reo50 / reo60 everytime. Bit more expensive than the most popular toyo or falken but so, so much better. They were made for the car!

nothing wrong with Falken's especially not the FK-452's

I rate Goodyear Eagle F1's very highly though, had GS-D2's & GS-D3's on various cars now and driven a friends 348bhp Nissan 200SX running the newer Assymetrics, no problems in the wet even with that much power going through the rear wheels!

As posted, 215/40 17" are the accepted tyre size to get closest to the original rolling circumference.

As for tyres, I am on my THIRD set of Toyos, T1S, I love them.
