got the offer of some more wheels... they are 7x17.5 5x100 hb56.1 and e48RFGM this is what is on the sticker on the wheel rim basically would they fit a standard my 2000 classic without rubbing and what tyre size 215x40x17?? thanks.

They sound like they should fit, especially if it's not been lowered. The offset is not far of the factory one (and the same as I run on my bug with 18s).
Can you not try them and check the clearances.

thanks for your help jon, i havent got the rims they are mate of a mate so we just wrote down what was on the sticker on the rim, as you say the offset is pretty close so they should be ok but just wanted to double check first!!
