Hey fellow members just wondered what tyres and sizes you recommend for my impreza?? it has the blob eye 17's on!

Had Michelin PS2's on my 17's and cannot rate them highly enough, just phenomenal grip and excellent wear but pricey to buy. Just got 18's fitted and now have the Vredestien Ultrac Sessantas but can't comment too much on them yet as not fully scrubbed in.

Goodyear F1 Asymetrics work very well for me, although I've currently switched to my winter tyres.
Mine is a blob-eye with standard wheels and tyres, 215/45/17 (91W XL = eXtra Load, don't go below an 87 load rating on an Impreza).

 

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta. Had most of the other well known Impreza tyres over the years and these really do knock spots off the others. Got mine from Camskill at a really good price

I'm all for spending whatever it costs for tyres, but I've stuck with Falkens the last few years and grip well regardless of conditions. The price is mid-range compared to top brands but that doesn't reflect their quality at all. Always get mine from Camskill too

 

 

I work for a Toyo dealer and am fortunate enough to test a few different tyres every month or so, Whether it be on track or road.
From past experience, My choice would be...

Budget- Federal 595 ( not that grippy, but will last a while)
In the middle- Kumho KU31 (as a cheap road/track tyre, These are unbeatable and brilliant value for money)
Premium- Toyo T1-R(soft sidewalls, Like driving on jelly) Mich Pilot 2's (overpriced and suffer from road noise, But otherwise are brilliant) Pirelli Asimmetrico & Goodyear F1 (pretty much in the same class but the F1's are better in wet weather!)
The absolute best- Continental sport contact 3's (outstanding in every situation,Stiff sidewalls, low noise, great wet grip and and and ....
R888's are undoubtably the track tyre of choice for good reason.
The one tyre i haven't tried is the Ultrac, Which seems to be gaining huge reviews in the EVO commuinity!
It's next on the list.

I'm into my first winter on Parada Spec 2 after 4 sets of F1 GSD3, RE050 RE040 and P Zero Rosso. Can't complain about the Paradas in the snow, no worse than any other performance tyre. GSD3 better in the wet, but no difference in the dry.

 

Exactly the same here. However, I would add however that the Asymetrics wear very rapidly (I guess like many high-performance tyres) but to make things worse, they become very 'crashy' noisy and prone to tramlining once tread depth reduces to about 5 or 6mm. For this reason, I will be fitting Sessantas next summer; their performance is also excellent but stays more consistent across the lifespan of the tyre
