Help offset what does every one have
#1
What is the best offset for most subaru's:
is it +48 or +50 or +52
i think its 48 as does:
has anyone got any ideas and reasons ?
Scaramanga
Topic: Just fitted Technomagnesio 18" to MY01
My god, what a difference!! As suggested by Pete Croney the +48 offset adds more weight to the steering and at last there is stability at speed, no more wandering from lane to lane. Most importantly of all the ride quality actually appears to be better than it was previously. I thought I'd be crashing over potholes and generally shaking my fillings loose, but the ride is great.
what does everyone think is the best ???

Subaru/Prodrive recommend anything ET50+
Scoobysport reckon ET45+ is fine.
My Mims are ET45 as are the OZ Superleggeras AFAIK and I dn't have any probs with them - I think on the limit the back end can be a bit more twitchy but thats about it. Oh and on uk cars, fully loaded they can rub but its easily sorted.
Cheers

Prodrive's new STi wheel is actually ET46, although most of their options have been ET53 or ET55.
I think ET48 is the optimum for both the new shape and old shape and this is what Scoobysport's are.
As Rory found out, it makes a massive difference

Aha Cheers Pete.
ET46 for the STi, however it is the new shape too, so perhaps they've changed their thinking re the new car
What about ET45 then like my MiM's what sort of "features" would they give?
Cheers
Neil.
