Question

OK - not so much of a technical question I know but in a week my alloys are black. Can I get brake dust protectors are they any good and what's the best product to get the cr*p of the alloys (preferably with the least elbow grease) ?

WRX Standard 17" wheels

Wonder wheels is good but only occasionally. It also bleaches your caliper (bitter experience).

To keep your wheels silver, wax the wheels after cleaning or try a ready made wheel protector product. I think Turtle Wax do something.

Hmmmmmm, bleaching not attractive option.

Elbow grease and wax protector it is then

Why do very few cars fit brake dust protectors as standard now ?

Tks for response

Brake just protectors stop air getting to your brakes and as such they get much hotter - this would make them fade much easier. NOT a good idea

Best thing is to take your wheels off, clean them and then apply a coating of wax or polish and then clean them weekly - works a treat, and then reapply the wax every couple of months.....
