New age wheels on Classic - confused by offsets.....

They are fine on my car, I've even put a 3mm shim on so that the wheels are back where they should be with regards to offset.
No probs yet!

Hi

No probs with mine after 12 Months of use.The tyre size is the only small problem I encountered.
Offset of MY01 wheels is et55.

Question

I quite like the look of the New Age WRX 17" alloys on the classic shape, after seeing them in Gallery.

Bit confused about offsets though, I thought I'd read somewhere that WRX wheels on a classic was not a good idea?
