If you mean 225's on an 8" rim which normally has 235, yes but will offer less rim protection.

right thing is I needed to replace my tyres and after using re070's on my uk sti(old car) thought id go for em again this time on my jdm hawkeye, but supposedly they have to be imported as in england you cant buy the 235's (believe u can from litchfields) the place selling em said it would be ok.
Looking at em they dont fill the rim like they should and think they look a bit pants? so after spending nr 500 pound im not v happy

UK and JDM Rims are both 17x8 JDM come with 235 UK with 225. No rhyme or reason. 225's on a JDM rim isn't any different to running them on a UK rime IMHO.

I personally run 235/45/17 on my UK STi rims, Vredestein Sessanta.
