Can the STI rims be painted Anthra., with the same quality?

Dealer said the paint job wouldn't be as good as stock.
Anyone done it? Would they do it again, or better off waiting and saving for new rims?
Appreciate your kind thoughts on the matter.

Try powder coating, much better finish than paint (glass like) only problem is a limited range of colours.
