Question

just got some new wheels for my legacy and i can't get a 19mm socket into the nut recess

they came off an imprezza, so do they have 17mm nuts instead of my 19mm?

i'm guessing that the stud diameter & pitch is the same (m12 x 1.25)

Standard chromed-domed Impreza nuts are 19mm. If your wheels shield the flats of the nuts then you're lucky - no chance of anyone getting a pair of mole grips on 'em. What you appear to need is a 'slimmer' 19mm socket as some of the cheaper ones are just a bit too chunky. Halford's Professional stuff works for me.

Question

i can get a 17mm socket into the recess, i can't get a 18mm in either, so i don't think a 19mm slim socket is an option

i was hoping someone would say they have 17mm nuts on their car

damn NTL connection is to blam for the double post frantic clicking on the post button in anger

F4, when I take my wheels for new tyres etc, I always take my own 19mm socket as the ones the fitters have are usually too fat for my wheels (Radius R3). If that fails, I'm sure you can get some 17mm nuts, but don't ask me where! I have some 17mm lock-nuts, but buying 20 of them would be a bit of a pain. LOL

Cool

I'm havin same trubble with the new Radius R2's i just fitted which having taken a ruler 2 the nuts that came with da alloys appear 2b 19mm which ment i had 2 get a socket type thing rather than the spider jobby which had no chance of fitting in the tiny hole. Got it from the place that stuck the tyres on but im sure Halfords or sum equally fine establishment () can help u out.
Good luck then.
Si
