Sorry, not experienced it on the AP stuff, but had my std subaru discs replaced under warranty last year after they had cracks all over them.
What's the deal with getting yours replaced by AP?

Seen it once on the grooved AP discs - apparently was a 'bad batch' and were replaced under warranty. Seen it many more times on the drilled discs.
Time to test your warranty then methinks?

(Those stupid 18" P1 OZ;s are very heavy, no wonder we go through wheel bearings so quickly..time to get Superleggaras)

Mellow, better safe than sorry so get them checked, mate. But all discs suffer from some degree of surface crazing and it's usually nothing to worry about. My APR discs have tiny hairline cracks on the surface, although you have to look very closely to spot 'em.
Hope they're okay
Richard.

My AP discs also have a lot of hairline cracks after about 20 thousand very hard road miles and about 7 trackdays. They started to show about 5K ago and at the moment none of the cracks are within 3/8ths inch of the edge so IMHO its not a safety issue just yet.
The performance is unaffected so far although they do drone towards the end of a big stop.
After all the abuse they have taken I think mine have lasted well.
As Hoppy says no matter how good quality the discs are they will eventually develope hairline cracks and how fast this happens depends on how you drive. Its temperature cycles that cause cracking so if you're the type of driver that uses the brakes hard intermittently your discs will crack sooner.
Mellow I will Email you a pic of my discs to give you something to go by,how many miles/trackdays have yours done?

Richard...good advice mate, thanks and will do.
Andy, thanks for the mail, I've replied but just to confirm, these are only6 months young, with 6k miles and 7 track days and as some will confirm I'm not a particular hard braking type of chap....
So is the problem acceptable do we believe, I've telephoned and mailed the supplier and am awaiting their thoughts.
Thanks again
Chris

Yes it does seem too soon for the discs to crack, even when you take into account the Imprezas remarkable ability to destroy brakes and tyres .
Maybe people that have done a lot of trackdays could comment. One thing I do know is that trackdays are very hard on the brakes for example pads that may last 20000 miles on road can last just 100 miles on track, the wear rate goes must go up exponentially
On the other hand yours could just be a bad batch as mentioned above?.You'll have to see how far you get with your supplier.
