Default Replacement braided hoses

Hello every1,

I have bought replacement braided hoses but when I tried to fit them I couldn't free the steel pipes from the hoses due to corrosion Whats the best way to free them without causing damage to anything! I'd heard of using a blow torch but I'm a bit hesitant to start removing paint!!!

I tried very hard with a 10mm A/F spanner to no avail.

I really wanted to fit the hoses along with my new 4 pots!

Never mind! Any advice welcome.

Thanks
Mick

Be careful as you don't want to have to replace the hard metal pipe!

They're an absolute b!tch to get off...I've just managed to get mine off, have a look at the mess here (scroll down):

Get yourself some 'Rost off ice', it's super powered WD40. Just keep coating the connections in that for a few days.

I had to resort to cutting the old pipe off with a Dremel
