Default Subaru virgin Advice needed

Hey all,

I've just purchased a 1998 Impreza in silver with 74k on the clock. On the way home I noticed the brakes were a bit rubbish so this morning I took the car to my local garage to find the calipers have siezed.

The discs on the front are drilled and grooved and apear to be fairly new but my question is:

Where is the best place to buy some 2pots? how much am I looking for calipers, sliders, braided hoses as a complete package? Is there much of a price difference for upgrading?
The guy who checked them over said I might aswell get a full set up. even the bolts holding the calipers on were odd!! are there any other components I will need to buy? clips of anything.

Is the stuff on ebay any good?

Thanks alot in advance

Rob

Try High Performance Brakes - Supplying AP and Brembo brake kits for road and motorsport use for advice, and possibly to buy a set of FOUR pot refurbished calipers.

Forget two pots mate and get some four pots for the front otherwise you'll end up rear-ending someone! I also recommend Ian Godney - I'm running some front discs from his group buy - far superior to the OEM Subaru items.

I understand that safty is second to noneand I agree upgrading is always better.
How much are the 4pop kits compared to 2pots an if I go for the 4pots would I need bigger wheels - which at the minute I want to keep standard?

AFAIK the SUBARU branded 4 pots will fit under 16" wheels, indeed, they were fitted to 99 onwards cars with 16" whels.
