They look like standard 'SUBARU' 4 pots fitment. The extra bit at the front in a wear indicator.

Never had Mintex but the 1144 and 1155 compound is supposed to be decent enough but I never compramise on brakes and go for something that is proven to work well

EBC Yellow Stuff mate.
I've had OEM Subaru pads, Ferodo DS2500 pads, and now EBC Yellow Stuff on my WRX.
The Yellow Stuff, together with a brake stopper have given me far more confidence under heavy braking than either of the other two.
£100 for fronts from ebc brakes direct - next day delivery.

Surprisingly I'd say yes - doesn't look like much when you fit it, but I now get hardly any pedal judder under hard braking which I used to see a lot of without it, so much so I'd get vibration through my foot.
Pedal feels firmer, more responsive; I've had it fitted long enough now so I can definitely say it's a noticeable difference - I'm not just thinking it's better because I fitted it 2 days ago lol.
