tyre wear ?

Default tyre wear ?

i was doing some work on my sti v7 and noticed the front tyres are wearing down alot faster than the back is this common and can i change just the front or do i have to change all four any help would be great

I normally rotate mine every few months to ensure even wear. I run bridgestone re070's which can go on any corner so usually swap opposite corners (fl-rr, fr-rl) but if you are running directional tyres then you will only be able to swap front to rear on either side (fl-rl, fr-rr)

Also gives you a chance to give your wheels a good clean around the inside (wonder wheels works great!)

Ive had my car for a wile and there is more tread on the rear's than the front's but im not sure if the owner would have swapped them over just before i brought it, or do they need swapping...Which tyre's wear down fastest? im doing normanl town driving with a bit of B road action. its a 05 STI

More weight on the front = more wear.

Just swap and adjust pressures...

Agree with above butthey are also driven wheels that steer so there is always going to be a bit of scrubbing each time you turn the wheel. So in either spirited driving or round town they will wear quicker than the rears.

I didnt know you could do that with the RE070's !! So there not directional

No they are marked on the sidewall "outer" ....
