Hi there, im quite a neebie as i bought my bugeye 2 months ago, and really love it,

2 weeks down the line the pads where making noises, and changed them from a mechanic i knew, he fitted copy pads, no original subaru pads, now all i here when i reverse and brake are like a clunking noise, took it back to the mechanic, he's like i dont know what u on abt ( by this time i wanted to hit him), anyhow i managed to get him to check my brakes, now i just dnt know what to do, he says my pads are not guineuine thats why its clunking, but i think it could be the disks - plz plz, any help

cos unless i take it to a subaru specialist no-one gna know, this twit doesnt and he's been a mechanic for donkeys, appreciate any help - cheers

Hello mate, i have the same problem on my 06 WRX, its only when i go forward though, have been told that its the pads moving when the brake is touched and loads of owners have confirmed, DONT take it to a main stealers bud they will just rip you off, hope that helps
