AP brakes
Hi - have an 03 Impreza Spec C (great machine!!).....with AP front 6-pots. It has comp pads and they have scored the discs a bit. I wanted to know if i need to throw them away, or can they be "skimmed"?? If they can - any good places near Surrey??
many thanks

I have AP disks too mate. I was told it depends on the amount of wear on the discs as to whether they can be skimmed or not. Most times you can skim them. Its certainly worth trying to skim them before replacing given the cost of the things!

Original thickness is 28mm and minimum 27mm. My original AP discs lasted 15k with Pagid Blues and ended up at 26.5mm with some radial heat cracking. Now using PF discs and RS29 pads from Alyn.
Given a bit of wear and then a skim I don't think its worth the bother and you'd be better off buying new.
