Default 00MY UK turbo rear 2-pots

Any suggestions about where to get these from? Don't want to go mental as I just need to get the car back on the road for now.

Seen a chap on ebay selling 2-pots (used, non-recon) for £30 + £10p&p, described as being from a GC8 WRX, for use with vented discs. Would these do??

My car is a standard 00MY UK Imp Turbo.

Cheers

Kev

They are probably from the front of an early car for that price.

You want some rear 2 pots from either the STi or bugeye onwards WRXs.

I'm still on the standard (MY00 UK) one pot rears here with AP 6 Pots upfront.

What's wrong with the old 2-pots?
BOB is right, unless there is a problem with them, you don't NEED to change them.

I put STI Brembos on mine as I got fed up looking at the tiny classic disc through 17's.

Dont I feel like the eejit. Don't know why I said I was after tw0-pot calipers. I need the single-pot ones.

My near-side single-pot rear caliper has seized and needs replacing/re-furbing. thought that for £30, I couldn't go wrong.

Here's the link for the auction... CLICKY>>>.

Looks like you'd need new discs, as the standard ones with sliding calipers aren't vented IIRC.

Give Ian a ring on 01656 723060 to see if he can supply new discs/pads to fit and at what price.

Or contact Grade A for a caliper for yours: 01663 744114.

Hi
On the MY00 they did have vented discs on the rear , with a single piston sliding caliper , you should be able to get them second hand fairly cheaply , other than that , I recondition them with new seals and a stainless steel piston for £150 a pair exchange
Cheers Ian

Hey Tanyatriangles,

Is it hard to fit gold brembos calipers to the rear of a classic and the matching discs?
Its something i would like to do.

Cheers

Half a day.

I did a "How to" about 18 months back, but dunno where it is now. Pics and all.

Got my calipers and discs from GradeA, kit to fit them, (brackets and new handbrake shoes), from Godspeed, new pads locally.

Cleaned and re-painted the calipers with Hammerite smooth red, (and stuck new white Brembo stickers on them), before starting.
