Default Over-active ABS

I noticed on the way to and from work today that the ABS kept kicking in for no reason, as in, I could be crawling through traffic at the kind of speed where you need only rest your foot on the pedal to stop and *TWANG! BZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzz* ABS kicks in momentarily then dies off. I know it always did it if I hit a pot-hole or some rough road as I came to a junction or something but I assumed that was normal as the car detected a loss of traction as the wheel left the road... Any ideas?

Got the problem sorted, new rear wheel bearing required :[ Wheel was wobbling and catching the ABS sensor. Sorted now though
