Changing WR1 brake pads
Hi
I have a 2004 wr1 and it now needs it brake pads changing on the front. The pad is out and i just need to know if i can push the pistons back with the pad or if i have to loosen off the full caliper and do it that way as i have heard it can damage the abs if the pistons are just pushed back??
Thanks

Just push it back with the lid off of the fluid reservoir using some adjustable pliers.
If you **** it it ain't my fault though

Hi
It uses the brembo 4 pots on the front so do i just push all the pistons back like you would on a normal caliper?
Cheers

Machine Mart do a piston spreading tool for about £15, so much easier with the right tools.

Another good thing to have handy is an old toothbrush to get all the dirt out of the caliper.
