don't get Pzeros

They aren't a good tyre mate, Toyo T1-S or Goodyear F1's are regarded as being much better......

Got 4 215 40 17 F1's for 340 quid from Humphries in Bracknell........

Cheers
Neil.

Jawa, Really? I've found them quite good.

Dont need 4 realy as the backs r fine (4mil) but i've shreaded the front 2 through rather too "enthusiastic" driving

Dont like the idea of Toyo's too much as I've heard there more of a "budget" tyre. I run Yoko's on the westi but I assume they'd ware too fast. Would consider Goodyears. Anyone else think the PZero's r pants?

There was a big thread a while ago on Pzeros and were widely rated as no where near as good as other tyres. Don't know where you hear that about the Toyo's? Eagle F1 and T1-S seem to be the tyres of choice now for Impreza's - everyone really rates them, although you'll find the Toyo's a bit more expensive than the eagles.

205 45 17 is the Prodrive recommended tyre size but theres only Pzero and Dunlop in that size - neither are great. 215 40 17 is pretty much the same for gearing and most people go down this route when running 17s on the Imp. Everyone I know has this size and although they can rub fully loaded, I've not come across many people suffering this problem - easily sorted on a uk car anyway by removing the plastic wheel arch inserts.

Hope that helps mate!
Cheers

I went to toyos from S02s 16", have to say they're no way near the bridgestones for performance - I think they're crap in the wet, they scare the pants out of me if I go for it with a modicum of water on the road!

If you've got the dosh it would have to be bridgestones, having said that I'm a great believer in sticking with what you like so if your comfortable with PZ then stay with them.

I was offered PZ at a good price but didnt go for them following the comments in this forum. That was quick it in berkhamstead - 280 for 4.
