Default Wheel Painting

I currently have a set of prodrive 18" alloys in gunmetal, with decent tyres on, but have always wanted gold alloys. Ive a fair bit of experiance with painting and have the kit and patience! (compressor/spray gun/ baking area)

is wheel spraying the same principle as body/panel spraying?

is a different type of paint/laquer needed?

is there a paint code/name for the gold used on the subaru alloys?

and finally, more contraversially... whats the consensus on orange? - i saw a scooby on ebay a few months back in blue with orange alloys and i couldnt make my mind up as to whether it was tasteful or not!
