Can't comment on the fronts, but for the rears, I just did this only a few weeks ago on my '01 WRX. The calipers just bolt straight on. Luckily I had braided hoses and the banjo bolt size was the same.

You will need special enlarged handbrake shoes due to the larger disc size. Ian at Godspeed brakes do them, do a search and you'll get his details. They will last ages so kind of offsets the fairly large cost for a set of special shoes.

The dust shields on the hubs will need to be removed due to larger disc size too. Angle grinder job or drill out the welds then remove. Just clean up the holes/girnd marks afterwards and paint using hammerite smooth and it will be nicely protected.

If you do this yourself the subaru workshop manual has a reasonable guide showing the parts and sequence of removal. Also tells you how to adjust the handbrake following the change. Good luck!

Fronts are just bolt on, nothing special needed.

Bit late now, but the workshop manuals are free on this site. User slipstream_uk has a thread with them on.

I fitted the fronts to mine, only issue is make sure you get the caliper bolts with them as these are different to WRX ones and you need sti or similar wheels to clear them.

You can, but think they are 7 odd quid each. Search on the site, the thread size is on here, and you could pick them elsewhere for a couple of quid.

Remember the problems with pcd sizes if youre fitting the discs from a newer shape sti-will need redrilling-not too expensive though.Im having a full set fitted at the end of the month
