Subaru 4 pot calliper shims ???
hi, i recently striped my front brakes due to them squealing. however i noticed that the shims wich are ment to go between the pistons and the brake pads were missing on both sides !. does anyone know where i can source new ones from ??

They are available from a dealer seperately to the pad kit, but are expensive to purchase on their own. There are 2x shims per pad fitted from the factory.
You would need the following:
4x 26233FA010 - Pad shim inner £4.62 ea
4x 26233FA000 - pad shim outer £4.62 ea

Had the same problem and it can be well annoying, especially when leaving for work at five in the morning. The prodrive exhaust the neighbours tolerate, but squeeling brakes........
Part numbers and prices listed by Barrett are correct and refer to these
As I am always on a budget I posted in the wanted section and Scoobymoz came up with good used ones for a fraction of the new price. If you are going that way ask for a photo of the goods
a) to prove the vendor actually has them
b) to assess the condition. The perforated shims do corrode and the bars can disappear (which is why the ones in the picture have a coat of paint on them)
