Gold brembo's - a worthwhile mod?
Am I likely to see much of an improvement in braking if I fit a set of gold brembo's? I've got standard newage 4 pots/2 pots at the moment. Anyone done this?

i recently done it on my 02 wrx.
huge improvement for me, but i did change a few bits..
changed front calipers to gold brembos, goodridge hoses all round, new fluid of course, to fit the brembos i had to put larger disks on as well as pads, but these were used with the calipers, new pads on the rear at the same time.
the used pads and discs are quite worn, but even so, when i need to stop hard, it now "snaps" where it never used to, im more confident in my brakes now, and will be even more once i have new discs and pads on the front, didnt notice much if any improvement on pedal feel if im honest, but again, not new discs/pads on the front, so they could be a bit soft.
depending on what you pay for the stuff, worth while in my opinion.

Thanks - i'll look into this one then! I did think of the wheel clearance bluebugeye as well - a good excuse to get some 18's (if ever one was needed!) or maybe some standard sti wheels for a more subtle look
