Default What has caused this tyre wear??

I bought my car about 3 month's and 1500 miles ago and the tyres were fine loads of tread. Today when the wheels were on full lock I noticed the above , They are Toyo Proxis 225x45x18" Is it Tracking or what? Both front tyres are the same on the outside edge i know they are fooked but what has caused it? It's not been driven hard or done track days since i've had it.

Help please.

Get alignment checked as a kick off. If it were me I'd put on new shoes and then get it done.

Outside edge? Then that sounds like a load of positive camber where Scoobs usually run negative and that usually happens to the inside edges during spirited cornering.

hi mate get your wheel alignment done as from the sounds of it you have too much toe in ,should be ok with adjustment as you say both are worn the same ,its worse when only one is wearing as it could be damage on the suspension somwhere, any good tyre fitter outlet should be able to help.

Thanks guy's I'll get the Alignment and tracking checked out, I just can't believe it's my driving that has done that, I know I'm not slow and she is pushing 320bhp but i am shocked that when I bought her 1500 miles ago there was loads of tread.

a geometry check is the best bet, someone like these guys. Wheel Alignment and Steering Geometry Specialists : Wheels in Motion they also do touchless tyre changing to protect your rims.

If its never been done before...get the geometry done.

Most Imprezas have incorrect front toe alignment right from the factory!

It should be checked and adjusted when the car is PDi'd by the dealers when new, but they rarely do so (cuts down overheads)....Plus, ever seen your subaru dealer have a 4wheel laser computer bolted to their 4-post ramp - nope? thats because most dont!

Looks like its toe-ing out (which in turn reduces the camber). Believe it or not, Subaru's tolerance limits for alignment is that wide its pointless. Best dial in as much toe-in that gives the most negative camber, although that won't help the tyre wear.

Had mine done at PROSPORT in Stockport on the last car. They did the Pro-Drive camber & Toe settings, it was not that expensive either as only a labour charge.
