Translation for anyone over 12:
4 pot brake pads which ones?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Got some 4 pots to fit on my 1992 wrx.
Got grooved discs and after some good pads. Don't really want to pay 100 quid a set. Any ideas guys?
Answer
You don't get good pads for peanuts you get EBCs which fade after a few miles and wear out after 3 weeks. If you want good pads you get Ferodo DS2500 or Pagid RS4-2-1. Not sure of the price for Ferodos but Pagids will be likely to cost more than 100 quid a set.
But Pagids are excellent and they will last for ages so you only pay once. Fit cheap pads and they won't work and in a months time you'll be paying for something else.

Lol. u say EBC are crap and there are two massive EBC Brake adverts on the right and bottom.
Thought it was funny.
I hear the black diamond FT are ok. also the mintex 1155's.
After lots of consideration ive gone for the ds2500's.
Brakes on a scooby is not where you want to scrimp!

Always bought cheap ones from Camskill or GGR and they've been fine.

The EBC adverts are most likely there because EBC are paying scoobynet for advertising.
Admiral advertise on here, doesnt mean theyre a good insurance company for your scooby.
If you want good pads youre lookin at over £100, Ferodo d2500 are the best id say, although ive got pagids on mine at the moment, both times i didnt hesitate to pay over £100.
Brakes are something you want to look at first thing when you get a scooby. If you want good pads, dont cheat yourself by going for the budget option!!!

Black Diamond FT pads can be had for around £65 plus postage, they seem to work well though you will be cleaning ur wheels and the side of the car a lot as they produce a lot of dust.
