Default AP calipers -will these fit?

hi guys,

i'm looking at these calipers on fleabay,

STi by AP RACING 6 POT CALIPERS WRC EVO SUBARU RALLY on eBay, also Brake Components, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 12-Dec-08 17:16:02 GMT)

and on the AP website its got them listed as rear rally calipers

http://www.apracing.com/info/search.asp

would these go on a 2002 WRX as FRONT brakes with the right bracket? and what discs would i need, i'm guessing at least 355mm.

From the AP book "Suits 310mm dia x 27mm disc".

I'm 100% sure they wouldn't work with 355mm discs the internal machining within the caliper would be wrong. If the disc was far enough into the caliper for the centre pot to grip it then it would hit the caliper at each end.

Whats the standard disc size on a WRX, isn't it 328mm? You could end up with less brakes if you go to a 310mm disc.

cheers mate, i've currently got DBA gold discs on the front and they are 294mm.

what kind of work would i need to do to fit these to the front of mine?

what other parts would i need?

i'm basically looking to get 6 pots on mine and i don't mind getting parts slowly when they come available on here one ebay etc. these are obviously pretty expensive new so i'm going to see what kind of price they go for and maybe drop a bid in.

If they are designed for the rear they will not be suitable for the fronts.

You need to work out piston areas, and work out how far away from std they are. As above i doubt they would be close enough to work.
