Question Squeaky rear brake

Hi folks,

I recently purchased a MY00 WRX Type RA and have noticed an intermittent squeak from the nsr brake. Any ideas folks? Sticky caliper?

Cheers,

Lewis

could be sticky caliper or pads seized in place...............
could also be the "squeal" shim that tells you the pads are low

Thanks for your reply Alyn. If the pads were siezed in place, would this not lock the wheel?

I noticed that the squeak disappears if (when moving very slowly) I lightly tug on the handbrake with the button pressed.

It doesnt sqeak when the break pedal is pressed...
