Default Rear brake disc trouble...

Hi all!,
Iv recently bought some rear brake discs for my95 wrx wagon... Only problem is they seem to be a to thick to fit into my rear calipers..the diameter is spot on and the shop told me they would fit my car so can anybody enlighten me to what iv done wrong...??

some of the wagons had SOLID rear discs (identical to UK of same age) as opposed to the vented rears on the WRX saloons, the caliper is spaced differently and you won't fit vented discs in

i suppose i could do, but at what price...?
If its gonna cost me more to buy the calipers than it would to sell the discs n buy some new ones....
