Question Info On Rear Disks?

I need to replace the disks and hand-brake shoes on my '98 type-r v4,standard subaru 2 pots and was wondering if they are the same as newage rears as they seem to be slightly cheaper than type-r specific disks.

I know that the ones on mine are vented 290mm,190mm inner and 180 driveshafts
I know that the newage are 290mm,190 inner but i don't know the driveshaft sizes or if they will even fit?

Also where can I get the hand-brake shoes as the disks advertised come with pads but not shoes.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Mick

Newage discs won't fit due to the bigger rear diff on the Type R.

Ring Alyn at ASP and see if he can source you some rears

Hi
The discs are the same overall size of 290mm , but the handbrake size is different , its 190mm on yours and 170mm on the bugeye WRX so they wont fit , you need the Type R discs to fit yours.

The MY01 onwards STi shoes will fit your car ,

I can supply you the grooved rear discs in my group buy to fit yours

Cheers Ian
