I need new front discs and pads for my 03 WRX PPP.

I don't drive it like it's stolen and don't do tracks but would like a bit of bite in the brakes, I find the current Subaru fit discs and pads are nothing special.

Would getting some OEM discs and decent pads meet my needs? I'm a bit of a novice in this field and would like some advice. I also don't want to spend money on good stuff that would be wasted on a normal road car for a moderately quick commute! Grooved/drilled discs are overkill and I don't want my pads to prematurely wear!

Any help is appreciated...

i've had OEM discs and Black diamond pads on my 93 wrx and found them to be a good combo whether driving sensibly or with a bit more speed.
i did find they produce quite a bit of dust and squealed nastily sometimes when sowing down at junctions.
