Question Spacesaver

If your spacesaver is marked with a maximum speed of 50mph, is it actually illegal to exceed that speed? I know it would be foolish due to lack of grip, transmission wind up, etc. But could you be done for dangerous driving for example?

If exceeding the limit caused an accident then I'm sure you'll get prosecuted. Frankly I'd be nervous doing 30 on one of these let alone 50.
