anyone know if the import rear single pot rear calipers are the same as the uk ones, i know uk has solid discs and import has vented but is ther any diff in calipers basically could i fit them to mine which is a 98 terzo if they come off a 95 wrx which is gonna be an import, wasa thinking i only need to fit the bit which has the piston in and refit to my exisiting carrier??

The import caliper is slightly bigger to accommodate the thicker 16mm disc that is fitted.

well i got a set of import ones off a wrx wagon and fitted em and all seems ok, mine were rusted to hell and piston had seized solid and was dragging, fiited these last night and noise has gone and braking seems better, will the piston just come out slightly more then if made for slightly thicker disc?

the early WRX had the vented disc as opposed to the equivalent age UK car that had same 266mm size but solid, the two calipers are basically the same design but differing widths to accomodate the appropriate disc
personally you'd be better off getting the correct caliper or simply fit the matching vented r/discs..............
at 99MY all of the WRX and UK car shared the same rear set-up..........
