We need to know what Scoob you have, and what's on it now, before anyone can advise.
Model year, size of wheels, any other info you can see on the brakes.

I upgraded my 93wrx to later model 4 pots (embossed with SUBARU) but you'll have to make sure they fit underneath your wheels first. Also put braided hoses, better pads and dot 5.1 fluid.
Start by upgrading pads (cheapest place to start!), original pads are poor and depending on your service history might be original ? My import 95 STi looked like it had the originals
well go the better pads and discs route (maybe bleed them and put 5.1 fluid and braided hoses, clean the calipers up as ,if like mine, they are covered in crap and grime and go from there.

Totally agree.
I have a new age WRX and the standard brakes were shocking - didn't feel they were up to the stopping after an exhaust and remap.
Swapped my front pads for Ferodo's - they're not cheap and they give out a lot of brake dust but they are better.
I have a set of Godspeed grooved front discs and Goodridge hoses waiting to go on which I'm hoping will further improve things and firm up the pedal.
