Godspeed brake disk experiences please
I bought my car about 6 weeks ago and it had just had uprated godspeed brake disks fitted.
They have now done about 1000 miles and they appear to be warped but only noticeable under hard breaking.
I phoned godspeed and they want me to post the disks down for inspection.
It is my only car i need it every day so sending the disks away is not realy viable should i ask godspeed if i can let somewhere like AWD to check them for a professional opinion?
any other options?

HI
How do you and I know the product is at fault , we have seem many times sticky calipers that overheat and warp discs , pads tight in the calipers that overheat the discs , pads that leave deposit on the discs that give the feeling of warped discs., hubs full of rust so the disc doesn't sit properly , ball joints and TCA's worn .
It could be a number of things, if it is the discs that are faulty then they will be changed under our guarantee. If there is a fault elsewhere they would not got changed , is that fair ?
It seems a bit strange that you say the discs are warped to ' death ' , but then you say it only happens under hard braking if a disc is warped , its warped , you will feel it all the time getting worse the faster you go.
If you want to take it to AWD for them to check out your car properly , thats fine by me , if they find no fault on the car then I will supply you new discs , if the car is not checked out by a reputable specialists then I would need to check the discs myself .
I have had people in the past wanting new discs saying there's were warped , and it ended up not being the case.
Cheers Ian

Iain that sounds fair to me.
I have edited my initial post as now i have read it again i have suggested that the disks are at fault when it has not been proved which is not fair.
Car is getting a full service on friday so i will be changing the ball joints and stripping the brakes to check for even pad wear sticky calipers and if there is a build up of crap and checking for any other problems.
Your input is greatly appreciated Iain if you wish me to change the initial post further just let me know.

Ciaran - That's some good advice Ian has given and he's been straight up with you if they are at fault.
It sounds like a stupid question but how are the rear discs?
Reason I ask is that I had problems with what felt like warped front discs but even after I changed them and serviced the calipers, I still got a hint of "wobble" when braking.
New rears are going on this weekend, courtesy of Ian funnily enough.

I have had real good service from Ian as well, got my 4 pot calipers refurbed last year, then got the 355MM kit this year and couldnt recommend it enough, and Ian is always happy to help out if there are any problems with anything (such as the delivery company....remember Ian?? lol )
My front brakes are now that good that my rears seem crap now....2 pot rear upgrade in the near future methinks
